Another picture....The Crown

How could I not add a picture of the crown right before the winner was announced.

Miss Utah 2008

Well, the winner of this year's Miss Utah pageant is Miss Sanpete Country Kayla Barclay. She is just darling. My roomie Jenny Thacker had two of her girls in the top ten, and the first runner up Whitney Merrifield was one of the two! It was so much fun to cheer on your own girls. Jen, I am proud of your accomplishments as well, you did awesome. All the girls did an amazing job. We had a long week of zero sleep but LOTS of laughs and fun. I look forward to this event all year. We had a devotional at the Joseph Smith Building on the first night where Mrs. Huntsman spoke as well as some words and musical numbers by Jesse Clark Funke who I LOVE (my dad also loves her). I was able to sneak up, meet her and get her picture before we left. That was really cool. We also on Friday were able to be the audience (all the contestants at Miss Utah) at Good Things Utah. It was so interesting how they worked things and how small the set really was. We enjoyed meeting the ladies after and getting some pictures as well. This will be another wonderful and amazing experience. I want to thank my wonderful husband for being such a great Mr. Mom all week, and I know that he would rather I was home. I explained to him that this to me is like hunting to him.....Thanks honey. Until next year........

A good ol' memory

I got this from a friend of a friends blog. I thought it would be fun! I hope you will play along.

Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.
