MIss Utah 2009
Well I finally am blogging about my Miss Utah week. I returned a week ago Saturday and it was amazing. I had 4 amazing girls and loved being their "mom" for the week. One of my friend's girls, Whitney Merrifield won Miss Utah. She is a darling girl and dear friend. I am so happy for her. She will do amazing this year representing Utah. Her talent was FANTASTIC! I feel so honored that I know her and her family. I wish her luck this year. We laughed, laughed some more, and laughed even more. Jen, we will see you here next year! Jenny, great times as always. Now we have to wait another year. It is a highlight of my year. :) Thanks for spending it with me.....

Shower for new sister!
My two sister in laws and I threw a bridal shower for my future sister in law. She is marrying my brother Josh the end of June and we are VERY excited. She is just darling and we love her so much. She is actually from North Carolina, so we think that it was meant to be that he is marrying a "southern girl". My boys adore her and she and I am thrilled to call her one of my sisters now. We threw the shower at my sister in law's clubhouse. Becca was over invites, Angie did the decorations, and I was over the food. We served yummy southwest dip with toasted french bread, fruit and fruit dip, double layer chocolate cake, lemony shortbread cupcakes, chess cake squares, an artichoke dip, and some vegies! It was so fun and delicious. Everyone enjoyed visiting, and Kendra got some amazing things.....thanks Angie and Becca for all you did! It was so much fun! Here comes the wedding:)

Hiking the Subway!
The week school got out, Jeff pulled the boys out of school on Wednesday.to go hike the Subway in Zion's. Early that morning they got up and left by 5:00 am. Our family hiked the Subway "bottom up" in April because the water was far too cold to swim through and be able to get out and warm up. So we never did the hike "top down" where you get to repel and see many beautiful rock formations. SO, Jeff decided to take the kids down for the day to do it the RIGHT WAY. I couldn't get out of teaching, so it was a father/sons trip. They got there, hiked it, ate dinner, and drove back getting home around 1:00 am. CRAZY:) I think they all had a terrific time and Garrett just plugged right along! I have amazing men in my life!
